Choosing a Wellness Clinic: Green Flags and Red Flags

How to evaluate a clinic before you hand over a credit card — including the questions that make bad clinics uncomfortable.

June 25, 2026 · 5 min read

The regenerative and wellness space contains excellent clinicians and aggressive marketers, and from the outside their websites can look identical. A few checks separate them quickly.

Green flags

  • A real assessment before anything is sold to you.
  • Clear, unprompted answers about who provides care and their credentials.
  • Willingness to say "you're not a good candidate."
  • Pricing explained before you're in the chair.
  • Follow-up built into the plan, not sold separately as an afterthought.

Red flags

  • Guaranteed results, or cure language for complex conditions.
  • Pressure to buy a package today, at a discount that expires tonight.
  • Vagueness about who is actually in the room during treatment.
  • No screening questions about your medications or history.
  • Reviews that all sound like they were written by the same person.

One test that works

Ask: "Under what circumstances would you turn me away?" A clinician will have a ready, specific answer. A sales operation will change the subject.
