Shockwave therapy

Healing prompted, not forced.

Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive procedure that uses high-energy sound waves to stimulate your body's natural healing processes — no surgery, no downtime.

Approach
Non-operative, no surgery
Sessions
Short in-clinic visits
Downtime
Most return to normal activity same day

How it works

Sound waves generated by a shockwave device are focused on the affected area to target specific tissues. The energy promotes increased blood flow, the formation of new blood vessels and the release of growth factors — all of which contribute to the healing process.

What it's used for

  • Chronic tendon and joint pain, including knees, shoulders and elbows
  • Plantar fasciitis and heel pain
  • Slow-healing soft-tissue injuries
  • Restoring range of motion after long-standing discomfort

What a session is like

Sessions are short and performed in-clinic by an experienced provider. Most people return to normal activity immediately afterward. A course of several sessions is typical, and your provider will recommend a schedule after assessing the area.

“Very punctual in helping me with all of my needs. I did the shockwave therapy and it helped significantly with my knees.”

— Tomas, shockwave therapy patient
