Before you arrive

  • Write down every medication and supplement you take, including doses.
  • Note the questions you keep meaning to ask. You will forget them otherwise.
  • Confirm whether your specific appointment requires a ride home.
  • Follow any eating or drinking instructions your provider gave you exactly.

What to bring

  • Photo ID and your medication list.
  • Comfortable, loose clothing — especially for IV appointments.
  • Headphones, if music helps you settle.
  • Water for afterwards.

The day of

Give yourself more time than you think you need. Arriving rushed is the single most common reason people feel unsettled at the start of an appointment.

Tell us if you slept badly, skipped a meal, or are fighting something off. It genuinely changes how we run the visit, and none of it is a reason to be embarrassed.

Afterwards

Plan a quiet evening. Whatever you had scheduled after your appointment, consider moving it — most people are glad they did. Keep the follow-up instructions somewhere you'll actually see them, and reach out between visits if something doesn't feel right.
